The single shot "Merkel" with the legendary Jäger tilted block breech - conceived and patented in Suhl in 1906. This breech action is extremely rugged and long-lasting. Responsive and light, it is the dream rifle for stalking deer, and is well suited for hunting in rugged mountainous regions. Even hunters who primarily use a high stand are being captivated in ever increasing numbers by Merkel’s single shot rifle. The compact length makes it particularly advantageous in confined hunting stands.
